How ShiftCoach handles the information you and your managers put into it.
This Privacy Policy explains how Beaucoup Consulting ("we," "us," or "our"), operator of ShiftCoach ("the Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Account information: name, email address, phone number, role, and organization details when you sign up.
Employee/case data: information you or your team enter about employees and workplace incidents, including names, roles, phone numbers (if provided), incident descriptions, and documentation generated through the Service.
SMS/mobile information: phone numbers, message content, and consent/opt-in status for anyone who opts in to text messaging features (managers or employees), used solely to provide the messaging features you've enabled.
Payment information: billing details processed through our payment processor Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
Usage and device information: how you interact with the Service, device type, and log data, collected to maintain and improve the Service.
To provide and operate the Service, including generating AI-assisted guidance based on the information you provide; to send SMS and other communications you've opted in to receive (see Section 4); to process billing and manage your subscription; to maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations; and to improve the Service, including analyzing aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
Information you submit to the Service (such as incident descriptions) may be processed by third-party AI model providers to generate suggestions, coaching scripts, and documentation summaries. Under our agreements with these providers, we require that they not use your data to train their general-purpose models. AI-generated output is provided for informational purposes only, as described in our Terms of Service.
If you or an employee opts in to receive SMS messages through the Service, you will receive messages related to: incident reporting confirmations, corrective action documentation, employee acknowledgment requests, exit survey requests, and related account notifications.
Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying to STOP.
We will not share or sell your mobile information or opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information sharing described in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the messaging services described above.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We share information only with: service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting/infrastructure providers, our SMS/messaging provider Pingram, our payment processor Stripe, and AI model providers used to generate suggestions, each bound by their own data protection obligations to us); for legal and safety purposes, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Beaucoup Consulting, our users, or others; and in connection with business transfers, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections. We do not sell personal information, as "sale" is defined under applicable state privacy laws.
While your account is active, we retain your account information and the case/employee documentation your organization creates for as long as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel or downgrade your subscription, your documentation is not automatically deleted — it remains associated with your organization's account, though access to paid-plan features may change as described in our Terms of Service.
You can export your organization's records through the Service (where available) or by requesting an export at hello@beaucoupconsult.com before closing your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting the same address. We will confirm your request and complete deletion within the timeframe required by applicable law, or otherwise within a reasonable period.
We may retain certain information after a deletion request where necessary to comply with legal or recordkeeping obligations (for example, tax, billing, or employment-recordkeeping laws that may require certain records to be kept for a set number of years), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or where the information has been aggregated or de-identified such that it no longer identifies you or your employees. We will let you know at the time of your request if any information falls into this category.
SMS/mobile opt-in data is retained separately as needed to demonstrate consent and honor opt-out requests, consistent with telecom recordkeeping practices, even if other account data is deleted. Because much of the personal data in the Service is entered by your organization about your employees (not provided to us directly by the employee), employees seeking to have their information corrected or removed should generally contact their employer first; we will support deletion or correction requests made by the organization that controls the account, consistent with this section.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@beaucoupconsult.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law (e.g., the CCPA/CPRA for California residents, and similar state privacy laws).
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at, nor knowingly used to collect information from, individuals under 18. If we learn we've collected information from a minor in violation of this policy, we will delete it.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
